Last two chosen for “Canada’s Got Talent” finals

The acts to earn the last two available spots for the Canada’s Got Talent finals have been chosen.

It was an intense night as in the first round singers Jack Ettlinger and Marianne Demers, as well as traditional dance group Broken Dance found out from host Dina Pugliese who Canada chose to move onto the finals .

“Broken Dance you’re through!” Dina announced to cheers from the crowd.

Then it was judges choice but because Stephan Moccio and Misha Brugergosman agreed on who should get the last spot in the 12 act finals between the singing duo Francelle Maria and Mathieu Leger, circus performer Aygul Memet and impressionist Laheeb Quddusi, Martin Shorts vote was not needed.

Aygul Memet was overwhelmed to make the finals

“Thank you so much for supporting me this far,” she humbly said.

Chase of Broken Dance said they will be pulling out all the stops next week.

“Finals, we are planning something big. Epic. And we just want to amaze Canada.”

Contestants are competing for a grand prize that includes $100,000 in cash, a Nissan GT-R sports car worth $105,000, a Las Vegas show and an appearance at the Citytv New Year’s Eve bash.

The final is May 13.
