Three men are now facing charges in an altercation that left a Kitchener man with serious injuries.

Police say a fight broke out on Friday night at an apartment on Queen Street South. Their investigation found that a fight between two men escalated when two more joined in with weapons.

They say a 20 year old man was taken to a Hamilton hospital with a serious head injury after being struck by a baseball bat. He remains in intensive care.

A 24 year old Kitchener man is charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, and assault causing bodily harm. A 19 year old is charged with assault and mischief and the third man is charged with breach of probation.
