Toronto Mayor Rob Ford made some interesting comments on a Toronto radio station on Sunday, regarding the up coming by-election in Kitchener-Waterloo.
With the departure of former Conservative MPP Elizabeth Witmer for the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board, the seat in the riding of Kitchener-Waterloo is up for grabs and could be a huge game changer.
The reason being – with a win, the provincial Liberals could get their majority government.
Over the weekend, Toronto Mayor Rob Ford stirred the pot by saying,
“There is going to be a byelection out in Kitchener-Waterloo, and I’m going to do everything in my power to make sure a certain party does not win so they don’t get a majority government.”
That comment caught the attention of Liberal Eric Davis who said,
“I would like to remind Rob Ford that the people of Kitchener-Waterloo will decide who represents them at Queen’s Park, not him.”
Davis lost to Witmer in the last provincial election in October.
