Two more advance to the “Canada’s Got Talent” finals

TORONTO, Ont. – Two more acts have been added to the finals at “Canada’s Got Talent.”

Six semifinalists competed, hoping to move on to the finals.

The magic dance act Oslen was the first to be eliminated.

Show host Dina Puliazi then announced who was Canada’s favourite act and would move to the finals – singer Ivan Daigle or folk family act Jack, Michel and Maria Forestier.

Country singer Ivan Daigle was picked to move on.

Then it was judges choice as Martin Short, Misha Brugergasmon and Stephan Moccio chose between Enigma Dance Production, traditional hoop dancer Lisa Odjig and Mathew Cathcart “The Emcee.”

By a vote of two-to-three, The Emsee advanced to the finals.

Mathew Cathcart says when it comes to the finals, he’s going to do his best and hope for the best.

“I’m just going to do my best to bring my A game and hopefully Canada likes it as well,” said Cathcart.

Ivan Daigle is looking forward to the next round and optimistic about his chances at taking home the big prize.

“I’ve got just as good a chance as anybody,” he said.
