A 16 year old has been charged with breech of probation after allegedly attempting to ditch a cab.

Police say the youth took a cab from Toronto to Kitchener yesterday and tried to flee.

The cab driver flagged down an officer and said that the teen pointed a gun at him, the officer than pursued the suspect eventually arresting him.

He faces numerous charges along with 3 counts of breech of probation.

Police say they recovered a replica handgun and the taxi driver was not hurt.
