What’s the proper way to hold the Oscar statuette?

The Oscars are on Sunday, and the winners have a lot to worry about — looking good, trying not to trip on the way up to the podium if they win, and speaking in front of an estimated viewing audience of millions.

And now, there’s something else the soon-to-be-winners will have to master before making their acceptance speeches.

When the winners accept their statuettes, they’re being told to “do it properly” and respect of the integrity of Mr. Oscar.

The video features Oscar winner Kevin Kline and Canadian actor Mike Myers.

Myers is the one schooling Kline on the “proper procedure” — channeling what seems to be a lost character from “Austin Powers.”

Kline won his Oscar for his supporting role in the late-80s’ film, “A Fish Called Wanda.”
