Cool night expected

It’s expected to be another cool night, but still no big threat of frost for the area.

570 News Weather Specialist John Wilson is calling for a low of 3 tonight.

The record low was set back in 1984 and saw the temperature fall to 2.6 degrees.

Environment Canada’s Senior Climatologist David Phillips says the regular overnight low for this time of year is 9 degrees.

But Phillips says not to worry. He’s still predicting a warmer autumn, with highs hitting the low to mid 20’s.

And he notes, don’t expect to see frost hit the area until sometime in October.
