Kidspark

The 23rd annual Kidspark is today from 11am to 5pm in Victoria Park.

Some of the activities returning to the festival this year include The Rangers Street Team with inflatable shooting cages and storytellers from the Kitchener Public Library.

Julie Marshall, Special Events Co-ordinator with the City of Kitchener tells 570 News there are a few new things this year including Rogers Play Soccer, a community-based program designed to connect, grow and celebrate soccer participation. As well, Game Asylum with 16 different video screens that kids can come in and play video games.

The admission into the park is free and it’s rain and shine. 

She also says that Kidspark After Dark is new this year. Beginning at dusk (around 9pm) The City of Kitchener, BIA and The Waterloo Region Record will showing the hit movie RIO on a giant inflatable movie screen. Admission is a donation of $2.00 for the Kids to Camp Fund.
