A 58-year-old Waterloo woman was taken to hospital for a mental health assessment following a bizarre series of incidents in Kitchener yesterday afternoon.
Regional Police say they attempted to stop a vehicle on King Street near Green Street after an officer noticed the vehicle’s horn was blaring non-stop.
It eventually did pull over, but not before it struck 4 vehicles, including a cruiser and a Grand River Transit bus.
Fortunately no one was hurt, but when police went up to the stopped vehicle it appeared the woman was only partially clothed and a budgie was flying around inside the car.
Police say at no time was excessive speed involved and alcohol was not involved.
