Elizabeth May rally in Waterloo

Elizabeth May, sore throat and all, rallied in Waterloo.

Almost losing her voice, The Green Party Leader was joined by a few other local candidates, as she reiterated her fight for democracy.

May vowed to end subsidies for nuclear and fossil fuels, citing climate change as a major concern.

May also commented on reducing taxes, improving Canada’s rail system, support for farmers wishing to switch to organic and providing bursaries and scholarships to students.

She also mentioned the 1-billion dollar program for municipalities to hire young people to cut down on unemployed youth.

She also urged Canadians to vote.

570’s Hayley Zimak was at the rally…

The rally was held at Kitchener-Waterloo candidate Cathy MacLellan’s office in Waterloo on Regina Street North.
