Chicopee opens today

It’s an early Christmas gift for skiers and snowboarders.
The slopes will open for the first time this year at Chicopee today, with 8 runs and 4 lifts operating (opens at 8:30).
Manager of business development Lori McCrae says the ski hill is opening two days earlier than last year because the weather has been good to them.
McCrae says they’re looking forward to a full season, with the long range forecast predicting a traditional winter.
If all goes well, she expects the slopes to be open until March.
