Guelph Police have closed the books on the case of a razor blade found in a loaf of bread this week.
Police say no charges will be laid and say it was all a “result of misadventure.”
Police were called on Wednesday after a woman found the blade in the bread she’d recently purchased from a city grocery store.
Police say it turns out the blade was inserted inside her home – by her young child.
There was no tampering at the grocery store or manufacturer.
The mother found the child with her hands inside the loaf but was unaware she had a blade in her hands.
Police are not sure how she got her hands on the blades, but a container with the exact same ones was located in a cabinet in the home.
