Brand new schools and year

Students and staff at Ryerson Public School in Cambridge celebrated the opening of their new building today.

The old building that housed less than 100 students was torn down over the summer.

Today, the new building on Grand Valley Drive opened its doors to almost 400 kids.

Some of the students went to Silverheights last year and get bused to Ryerson every day.

The new building boasts 10 acres of land and features surround sound in the classrooms and new touch screen equipment for teachers.

Pope John Paul II in Kitchener also opened its’ doors for the first time today.

It already has 500 students and is located in the Fairway and Lackner area of the city.
