Missing boy found

BRADFORD, Ont. – A three-year old boy who spent a night lost in fields of tall corn for almost 12 hours has been found safe and sound.

South Simcoe police say Jessie Chmile went missing at about 7:15 p.m. Thursday on his family’s 16 hectare property in Bradford, north of Toronto.

Police mounted a massive search involving more than 120 police officers and firefighters from across the region.

The search was assisted by a Durham Region police helicopter equipped with infrared, three police dogs and four police all-terrain vehicles.

Officers on ATV’s found Jesse at about 6 a.m. and he was carried out of the corn plants in the arms of his father.
