Ball hockey championship opens

You don’t often think hockey in the heat of summer, but 500 kids from across Canada are playing the sport in Waterloo today.
The 2010 Canadian Junior National Ball Hockey Championships opened today at the A.J. McCormick Arena, with teams from as far away as B.C. competing.
Head Coach of the KW Canadians team Todd Kufske tells 570 News the Tri-Cities Ball Hockey League is hosting the tournament, which has teams in all three age divisions.
Some games will be played at the Waterloo Rec Plex.
The tournament runs through Sunday.
