It’s convocation time in the region.

The University of Waterloo and Conestoga College are holding their spring convocation ceremonies, and they’re both starting today.

Waterloo’s run from today through to Saturday with almost 4,500 students graduating. This year also marks the first graduating class of the Nanotechnology engineering students. 16 honary doctorates will also be distributed.

Conestoga’s run from today through to Thursday, where almost 4,000 students are receiving diplomas or certificates. The college is holding two ceremonies a day, and handing out three major college-wide awards.
