Changes at Home Hardware

Some major changes atop the corporate ladder at St.Jacobs-based Home Hardware.

The retailer says company co-founder and President, Walter Hachborn has announced his retirement, although he will stay on as President Emeritus.

Taking over as president is Paul Straus, currently Vice-President and CEO.

The new Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice-President is Terry Davis, currently Vice-President Administration and Strategic Planning.

Strauss is no stranger to Home Hardware, having been with the company since it was founded in 1964.

Hachborn says of Strauss “I’m confident that he will continue to guide Home Hardware and our Dealers to a bright future.”

Davis has also been with the company for a number of years, having joined the retailer in 1970.
