This warm and sunny weather has golfers taking their clubs out of storage a few weeks early.
Kitchener’s municipal golf courses, Doon Valley and Rockway, opened for the year today.
They normally don’t open until mid April.
Manager Gary Hastings says it has been a busy at both courses.
He says if this weather doesn’t last and we get snow again, they might need to close for a day or two but he says it’s not likely.
Golfers out on the green say they were anxious to get started on a new season and some have plans to stay on the course over the weekend.
