Business Excellence Awards handed out

The Kitchener Waterloo Chamber of Commerce handed out some hardware at an awards gala at Bingemans last night.
The dinner and ceremony attracted a crowd of almost 1,000.
Anytime Fitness won business of the year for a business with less than 20 employees.
The University of Waterloo’s school of pharmacy won the innovation award.
Stemmler Meats & Cheese was recognized for its environmental efforts and Christie Digital Systems received the Waterloo Region Immigrant Employment Network award. The company’s CEO Gerry Remers also won the Michael R. Follett community leader award.
